I am super excited about this post because it’s not often that I am completely amazed by a product. I’m really cautious about which products I choose to use on my children – so finding something with minimal ingredients, that is safe + effective can sometimes be a challenge.
Let me start by saying that this post is in no way an Ad. It’s not sponsored / paid / promoted by them in any way shape or form. Tubby Todd literally doesn’t even know I exist. I am just a mom with sensitive skin, who has children with sensitive skin, and I want to share this product with all of you because I believe in it!
Back story here is that I have struggled with Eczema and sensitive skin my entire life. When I say struggled, I mean to the point of having to make my own deodorants, laundry detergent, etc. at times to keep my skin from reacting to the chemicals commonly found in a lot of hygiene products. Even in adulthood, I have to be careful with fabrics and dyes in clothing.
As a child, my parents were always told that I would outgrow my Eczema. Well, I’m 30 and I still have it. Anddd so does my eight year old daughter. Anddd so do the twins. Now that we have the twins, I don’t even take the chance of trying products that might irritate their skin. I go for the good stuff that is quality, and I always try it on myself before I try it on them. For me, spending a little bit more upfront is worth it to know that no one in my house will be breaking out in a full body rash from a bath product.
You won’t find any before / after photos from me on this product, simply because this review is more about what didn’t happen to our skin when we tried it. My skin will flare up + react to anything harsh, and so will our children’s. I know Tubby Todd is great because literally nothing happened when we used it! I’ve tried other products in the past that claimed to be for sensitive skin, and still – my skin went crazy. With Tubby Todd – I had no hives, no itching, no new bumps, no dry patches. That is seriously incredible.
I also have an ethical drive behind finding products that are as natural as possible. It’s important to me that products we use on a consistent, nearly daily babies, be derived from natural ingredients. Where products come from, and how they are sourced is also important to me. I enjoy being intentional with where I choose to spend our money and companies who are doing the right things will always have my vote.
In looking for products, I go for things that are mostly plant based, fragrance-free, and without irritating ingredients [alcohols, etc]. Tubby Todd Co. products are free of parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrance / colors, and BPA. Additionally, they are a certified cruelty-free company because they do not test their products on animals.
Shopping with small / local businesses is important for me, and I try to take that route whenever I can. Tubby Todd is a mom-owned company, and as a business owner myself, I absolutely love being able to support other mammas.
Having said all of that, I can say that I seriously LOVE this Tubby Todd product line and so do our little babes!
Since I had heard so many great things about this product line, I went ahead and ordered The Regulars bundle set from Tubby Todd. Included with the bundle set I purchased was the hair + body wash, the everyday lotion, and the all over ointment.
The hair and body wash is incredibly gentle, and has a great mild scent. I’m obsessed with that freshy-washed-baby smell. If you’re a mamma, you know exactly what I’m talking about! The babies love getting their after bath massages with the Everyday Lotion. It’s a perfect way to settle them down before bedtime. The consistency of the All Over Ointment is smooth and rich. It works great for clearing up cradle cap, eczema patches, and diaper rash.
Also, because we are all moms, and who doesn’t love a good discount – sign up for their mailing list, and you’ll get a 10% discount code for your order! I purchased mine while Tubby Todd Co. was offering free shipping, which was an added bonus for me!
