Instagram post 2193894647620165914_17546126 Serious question! 👉🏼 how do you decorate a Christmas tree with toddlers?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
—⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you suspend it from the ceiling?! Do you have them cut it so that only the top has branches?! Do you put ornaments on the top third of the tree only?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
—⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m uh...asking for a friend 😬🤪🤣
Instagram post 2193168029171783507_17546126 Lily asked me if Santa was real 😳⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

YAS GIRL SANTA IS REAL DON’T QUESTION THE FESTIVITIES! 🤣🎄🎁
Instagram post 2192443749584611141_17546126 alright alright. the joke is UP!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which one of you people has been sneaking over to my house and dropping off your laundry for me to do?! 🤣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But seriously, where does all of this laundry come from?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I swear it's got to be cloning itself. Does anyone else feel like this?! How do you keep up?! Or do you just surrender to the fact that all of the laundry will never be completely washed at once?! Tyler would rather wash one load per day than to have to do it all at once. I however, have a tendency to want to wash it all in one day and not look at it again for a week 😬😂
Instagram post 2191719050391168156_17546126 Where we spend most of our days 😴
Instagram post 2191560773137189226_17546126 I've been getting a lot of questions about how the twins + Lily are adjusting to having another little babe in the house! Here's the rundown on how the last two weeks have gone:
--
First week: Okay basically the babies didn't even realize Noah existed. LOL! I think they are so involved in each other's worlds that they thought he was a wiggly stuffed animal or something. Lily of course - instantly obsessed. She said all along she didn't care if she got a brother or a sister, as long as the baby was chubby. In her eyes, we nailed it!
--
Week two: The twins have started getting curious about him! Penny will call Noah "bebe" now and walk up to him and rub his head. She did try to feed him blueberry bread... but daddy intercepted 🤣 She whacked me in the face last night at bedtime when I was holding Noah so yeah she might be a little jealous 🙈 I'm still trying to figure out Wyatt's opinion. He's our quiet guy, but does walk over to Noah and look at him then walk away 🤷🏻‍♀️ he has tickled his feet a few times and chuckled when Noah wiggled. He also tried to pull Noah off my boob... and then told Noah “no no" - so there's that 😂 As for Lily, we’ve had a little bit of sass, but hey - that’s to be expected. Over all she maintains her same opinion of being happy that he's chunky!

Tell me about your littles! How did they adjust to a new person joining your crew?! Did you do anything to ease the transition?!
Instagram post 2190269199279202033_17546126 How do you even get anything done when you've got a cozy snuggler like this in your house?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🚨spoiler alert 🚨- YOU DON'T 🤣
Instagram post 2188789389378136843_17546126 Chunky. Just the way we like 'em.
Instagram post 2188071836817197803_17546126 We've been home loving on our Noah Bennett for one week now. Seven days seems like such a short blip in time, but simultaneously I already can't imagine life without him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Around 2:30am, when Noah was just a few hours old, I got up to go to the bathroom and I snapped this photo of myself in the hospital. I never want to forget how I felt in this moment. Completely exhausted, having labored for 12-hours to bring him into our arms. In pain from a tear that I didn't expect to have [praise the Lord for those gigantic ice packs], and nauseated to my core from the instant shifting of my insides after his delivery. Simultaneously, so proud of what this body has accomplished. Four children. Wow. God is so good.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I crawled back into bed, and Tyler brought Noah to me. I should have slept, but I soaked in every second of him being ours. I smelled him and looked over all of his tiny features, just truly in complete awe of him.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here we are, a week later. I'm sleep deprived, still sore, but so so in love. I'm sharing this photo because so often it's easy to forget about the work our bodies put into bringing our children here. It's real, it's raw, and it's vulnerable. It's the stuff like this that isn't advertised, or shown as "norm" but his is my motherhood, and I'm extra thankful for that this year.
Instagram post 2181575443868911574_17546126 Noah. ✨ our son, born last night at 11:36pm. We are resting + snuggling and are so in love.
